Our Classroom

Our classroom is filled with a diverse set of enthusiastic individuals, 27 to be exact. We will function as a community and help one another through our journey of learning. We all bring something different to the class and therefore provide each other with an exceptional wealth of knowledge and experience. We must remember to remain open minded and respectful of one another because what may be common to one of us, may be foreign to another. I am very excited to share this learning experience with each and every one of you. laugh

Parents: Please note that there are 3 nut allergies amongst the students in our class. Also, there are some diet restrictions that do not permit the consumption of the ingredient "gelatin" found in various sweet and savory treats. There are 2 vegetarians amongst our lively bunch of intellectuals as well. Please be conscious of these restrictions if you plan on bringing in treats for your child to share with the class. We want to make sure the environment is as inclusive and accepting as possible for everyone involved. Thank you for your cooperation and consideration! yes

Our Classroom Layout

The layout of the classroom will mainly remain the same, however the arrangement of the student's desks will continually change as the semester progresses. A little change is good for everyone and it will also keep us on our toes! wink

Do you want to know more about Ms. Khan?

I was born and raised in Houston, TX. Therefore, I am a native Texan, and PROUD of it! cool I am very artistic and love to work on craft projects as well. I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, writing and hanging out with friends and family. I love to experience new things and am always excited about experiencing a new adventure! While I love the beach and relaxing, I also am very adventurous and thrill seeking. Therefore, sky diving, bunjee jumping, and zip lining are just a few of the activities on my to-do list. I received my Bachelors of Arts from Benedictine University, with a major in English Language Arts and Literature with a minor in Education. I am very excited to be your Language Arts and Literature teacher this year. I am passionate about this subject and look foward to a wonderful year as I get to know each of you as we explore this subject.
